Notification & Signage Requirements
Police Notification
A tow company that tows a vehicle defined by law as abandoned must notify the county sheriff within 30 minutes after the tow, reporting its description and current location (W.S. 31-13-104(g)).
Signage Requirements
No statewide requirement for private property to post towing warning signs. Private-property removal requires a written request from the property owner; notice of intent is placed on the vehicle, not posted as lot signage. (W.S. § 31-13-104)
